Havelock exclusively secures new-style furniture for Nationwide Building Society’s branch roll-out
Havelock, the interior solutions provider, has been appointed exclusively by Nationwide Building Society to design and deliver new-style furniture for their branch refurbishment. The fresh and inviting concept is to be rolled out across Nationwide’s UK network of branches during 2017.
Working collaboratively with other nominated partners and Nationwide’s branch delivery team, Havelock will design, develop, manufacture, supply and install architectural features, furniture and loose equipment.
Havelock’s designers will recommend and source materials and quality finishes that are fully lifecycle designed while expressing the values of the Nationwide brand to its members. Quality, cost and lead times of the furniture and loose fittings will be managed by Havelock through a complementary mix of in-house manufacture and ethical sourcing through its Chain of Custody commitment.
Securing the contract with Nationwide extends Havelock’s pedigree of delivering eye-catching and functional interior spaces to diverse financial institutions and retail banking brands.
Commenting on the upcoming roll-out, Barry Perkins, Director of Corporate Services at Havelock says: “Having worked closely with Nationwide this year on their new branch concept and furniture design, we are delighted to have been appointed by Nationwide to support their 2017 roll-out plans. Working with Nationwide is refreshing, our proactive contribution to the branch delivery plans has been welcomed and Havelock is a key member of the delivery team. The concept is fresh and inviting and provides an open and welcoming environment. We are glad to be a part of that.”
Commenting on the appointment of Havelock, Dean Spencer, Head of Transformation at Nationwide said: “Nationwide requires a supply chain organisation of scale to meet the needs of our significant roll-out programme. I’m looking forward to working in partnership with Havelock, who were selected because of their ability to drive innovation, as well as their strength in design and manufacturing.”
The Barnstaple branch will be the first to introduce Nationwide’s latest concept, with 21 branches to follow throughout the year.
